Restaurant Review: The Hall Courtyard Brasserie – Los Angeles

I was looking for a low-key but nice enough place for a special birthday brunch when I decided to go to The Hall Courtyard Brasserie at The Palihouse West Hollywood. It was one of those gorgeous sunny L.A. afternoons and their patio was a surprising private retreat in the middle of the city. Sitting there in the courtyard patio, I forgot I was in L.A. and I forgot I was in the States.

The waitress was so nice and pleasant, that we lingered for a very long brunch through their entire shift. Their menu also had a lot to do with that too. I loved everything on the menu and wanted to be able to try everything. The menu includes simple bistro menu items but also include some modern gourmet twists – like steak frites, Purgatory Egg Benedicts with Bacon Marinara Sauce and Belgium Waffles with Sweet Cream & Strawberries. If you’re wondering why I didn’t include any pictures of the food, it’s because I tend to forget about using my camera when I’m totally into my food. I promise to go again and take some to post because I can’t wait to go back.
