I love serving playful looking yummy desserts whenever I get together with my sisters. There are so many variations that we’ve created with ice cream. I found a new one that I’m so excited about. I know they’re going to looooove this one. Here’s a recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Sundae. If you like peanut butter cups and ice cream, you’ll fall in love with this one.

I leave the salty peanuts on the side but others like the nutty crunch added. It’s fun to try variations of the ice cream scoops. My favorite is 1/2 scoop vanilla, 1/2 scoop toffee, 1/2 scoop chocolate, 1/2 scoop caramel and a large pour of the chocolate peanut butter fudge sauce. I like mine in a wide flat dish so I can taste them individually before mixing them together.

Recipe Adapted From: by Nigella Lawson, Nigella.com
Yield: 4 Servings
Time: Total 10 minutes
Ingredients:
3/4 cup double cream
100g milk chocolate, chopped
100g smooth peanut butter
3 tablespoons golden syrup (or dark corn syrup
4 scoops toffee or caramel ice cream
4 scoops chocolate ice cream
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
4 tablespoons salted peanuts, roughly chopped or left whole to taste

1. Put all the cream, chopped chocolate, peanut butter and golden syrup into a saucepan and place on the heat to melt, stirring occasionally. In about 2 minutes you should have your sauce ready.

2. Get out four sundae glasses and put a scoop of toffee or caramel ice cream in each, followed by one of chocolate and then another of vanilla.

3. Pour some chocolate peanut butter fudge sauce over each sundae and sprinkle with the salted peanuts. Hand them round and wait for people to weep with gratitude.
