How to Make Salsa

Salsas are commonly used for Mexican cuisine like Carne Asada or Tacos. However, you can use a good salsa with any food you want, if your intention is to add a spicy flavor on the side to your meal. One of the most common salsas is “Pico de Gallo”. By now, you’re probably aware of how to make that salsa; you have to chop all the ingredients mixed them up, etc. We’re giving you the recipe for another salsa just as good as that one or even better depending on your point of view; we’re talking about “roasted tomato salsa”.
This is what you’re going to need to prepare your salsa:
A sheet of aluminum foil.
A blender.
A bowl.
A knife.
Ingredients:
2 Medium tomatoes.
5 Dried chiles/Chiles de arbol.
1/3 Cup of water.
1/2 Teaspoon of salt.
2 Tablespoons of diced onion.
1 Tablespoon of diced cilantro.
How to make this salsa is simple:
1- Wash both tomatoes and wrap them in the aluminum foil sheet.
2- Put them on the stove burner for about 5 to 10 minutes depending on how strong the flame of your stove is.
3- Roast the 5 chiles on the flame of the stove. Be careful not to burn them. If you don’t feel secure roasting the chiles directly on the flame, use a pan to roast them there. If you want your salsa really spicy, you can add as many chiles as you want.
4- Remove the tomatoes from the aluminum foil sheet and then peel them if you don’t want a darker salsa.
5- Put the tomatoes, water, salt and chiles on the blender, and then liquefy everything.
6- Empty the salsa into the bowl and add the diced cilantro and onion.
This is how you make salsa to spice up your meals. There are a lot of meals that you can spice up with this salsa. Some of those meals are Mexican like: Tacos, Carne Asada, Burritos, Tostadas, Chicharrones, Carnitas and Quesadillas. You could also use this salsa on the side for meals like scrambled eggs, grilled chicken, fried fish and even fish sticks and chicken nuggets.
